However, any projects that requires a high-performance flooring with customizable uniform seamless finish across their floor surface, the answer is Self-Leveling Overlays. There are many good Self-Leveling Concrete Overlay Products on the market today. However among them all as an installing contractor at Old Stone Restoration we like to work with CTS Rapid-Set Products.
The TRU PC Self-Leveling Overlay Products from CTS Rapid-Set are able to give us the controlling-edge that we need at Pouring and finishing stage. Longer flow-time, fast curing, highly customizable uniform finish with ease of achieving high clarity and reflectivity are some of the benefits that we get with using TUE PC Self-Leveling Overlays on our projects.
5. SEALER: Surface will be sealed with using appropriate sealer to help prevent true stains.
4. GRIND and POLISH: In 24 hour’s surface can be grind wet or dry with using combinations of metal, ceramic and resin bond diamond abrasives to achieve a desired finish.
3. MIX AND PLACEMENT: Mixing and installing one of the Rapid Set® TRU® products at a minimum depth of 3/8″. All joints will be honored and optional; colorants and aggregates will be added at this stage with using appropriate mixing equipment and placement tools.

1. PROFILE SUBSTRATE: Existing concrete floors will be mechanically prepare by shot blasting to obtain an ICRI CSP 3 to 5 profile. All joints will be honored and all loose, unsound, contaminated material will be removed. Suitable substrates require a minimum 3,000 psi (20.7 MPa) and a minimum density of 100 pcf (pounds per cubic foot) all cracks will be filled with the appropriate crack repair material.

When the level of flatness that can be gained is combined with our dense self-leveling concrete, the finished polished flooring is capable of reflecting images like a mirror, without waves or distortion. Since TRU has more of a cream polished appearance, it has been widely used as the matrix for custom aggregate flooring. Many flooring contractors are creative with the the way they use TRU to simulate terrazzo flooring by mixing marble, stone and glass chips with TRU. The chips can vary in size and color, and by adding integral coloring with the TRU, there are numerous design possibilities.
When polished, the TRU has a uniform cream polished appearance, with slight visible aggregate exposure, like a mirror, without waves or distortion. Reflections will look sharp and clear without a haze. Available in Natural or Gray base.
